Top 15 Modena Balsamic Vinegar Cellar Tours

True balsamic is aged for decades in an attic acetaia, and Modena is where you taste it at the source. This page lists the best balsamic cellar visits, best first: which pair the tasting with lunch, which fold in a Ferrari stop, how long each runs, and what a proper aged drop actually costs.

“This was a fantastic detailed tour, and we learned so much about the history and process of Parmigiano Reggiano, Parma ham, and balsamic vinegar. Our guide Lorenzo was knowledgeable and fun. Pick up in Parma was smooth, the van was comfortable, and the drive in between locations was beautiful. There were small tastings at each stop: cheese & dried bread with sparkling wine, freshly cut Parma ham with bread and red wine, and spoons of different balsamic vinegars. I’d suggest packing water and a snack if doing the full day tour - we were quite hungry by the time we made it back to the drop off point.”

Everyone was very friendly, knowledgeable, and the passion that they share for these respective traditions was incredible to experience. Cecelia made it feel like we were visiting an old friend and we will definitely be back to visit again to explore more. Thank you Cecilia. Xo”
